Nayelly Lozano - TOEFL IBT

TOEFL IBT prep was imparted by Mr. Demian Palacios. TOEFL IBT test is divided in 4 different sections that are Listening Comprehension, Structure and Written Expression, Reading Comprehension and the speaking section. The first one measures the ability to understand spoken English, Structure and Written Expression evaluate the ability to recognize language appropriate for standard written English, Reading Comprehension is related with understanding non-technical reading material, and the speaking section measures the ability to write in English.

We analyzed the subsections that each TOEFL section has, and the better way we can answer to each of the questions. For example, we practice the structure that we have to follow when we are writing something, and to look if they are asking for our opinion or we have just to describe some passages. In the speaking section we learn that it have a specific format, which gives you some seconds to think your response and start speaking. We did some test simulations exercises in class, and as part of the writing section we did our personal statement for our admission to a U.S. university we wanted to apply.
