During the duration of this course imparted by Teacher Demian Palacios from May 28th, 2016 to June 25th, 2016, we studied information pertaining Pragmatics, which is a division of linguistics, Pragmatics concentrates on conversational implicature, which is a process in which the speaker implies and a listener infers. To put it in simple words, pragmatics studies language that is not implicitly spoken. Instead, the speaker hints at or suggests a meaning, and the listener assumes the correct intention or connotation depending on the culture.
In a sense, pragmatics is seen as an understanding between people to obey certain rules of interaction. In everyday language, the meanings of words and phrases are constantly implied and not explicitly stated. In certain situations or cultures, words can have a different meaning from what it actually means. In overall, pragmatics studies how words can be interpreted in different ways based on the situation.
Also during this course we discussed the main
points about US Culture, and how the United States has traditionally been
thought of as a melting pot. The most important holidays are the following:

US American foods, in my case, I did some research and a presentation about
